I spoke to our Doctor this morning, he's put my medication on repeat prescription & answered all my questions. My still swollen, cold feet are probably due to my circulation not being good, as I haven't been able to exercise or walk properly for two months now.
Because of my age, plus the severe damage done to my muscles, he warned me that my sciatica will take longer to heal completely - can be up to 6 months & in a few cases up to 2 years. If I don't need the Ibuprofen I don't have to take them anymore, but I have to carry on with the Amitriptyline until he decides to wean me off them gradually.
I'm still sleeping downstairs though, but I am managing without Ibuprofen now as I can walk properly but only for short distances, so any gardening at the moment is impossible. Three days ago, I finally managed to get down the five steps to our patio & it was bliss seeing & hearing all the birds!
