Todays Update:
Wall Box, Blue Tit: Not sure if there are any eggs. The nest is very deep and reviewing recordings do not help. My BTO records show that the earliest first egg in previous years was 29th April so the only surprise is that the nest was completed nearly two weeks ago. She still roosts every night and makes an odd visit during the day.
Shed Side view Box: Blue Tit: No visits Monday and only one yesterday. More this morning but it seems to be just the male trying to entice the female back in but to no avail. Has she lost interest or has the cold weather this last few days slowed her down after the frantic all day building on Sunday?
Blackbirds: Still around but hard to tell. Probably 65% sure they are still ok.
Robins in Watering Can: All seems ok at the moment. Pretty sure that it is 3 chicks with 2 unhatched eggs (one must be the one the Great Tit pierced) They seem to be feeding ok with small grubs and spiders and insects. The parents only take the mini mealworms for themselves. I am conflicted as to continue putting them out as the sparrows demolish them and they have been making the up until now absent Magpies to appear on the fence!!!!
Here is a short clip from this morning:
