Viv came in to roost again last night quite early.
I also got to see the pair copulate on the branches above the box this morning - thats a first for me EVER!!!
Day 8 - the nest so far - the cup is more defined - another few days before it is finished perhaps? There is the feather from yesterday I think?
13:40 - edited to say she's bringing small bits of fluffy stuff in now. I've been watching her through the binoculars. So we've moved onto the next phase.
It was in this same Aldi box that I came close to a nest with the Bluetits in 2013. But this officially now marks the furthest that this box (and any of my bird boxes) ever got with a nest before.
Had the Aldi box up since 2012, and got nothing that year, came close in 2013, then absolutely nothing since - so including 2012 thats 9 years I'm waiting for something to happen!!!
