Thanks for putting up this forum (in loving memory of The Bigg Bird Forum 2005-2019), good to see torch burning on. Right now it is minus 12 C and 30 cm snow & ice on my corners in Finland. No hint of nest building this early, but some of my garden boxes are used by tits for sleeping 17 hour nights.

Glad to see that there is a replacement forum. It was disappointing to have to close the old forum, especially at such short notice, but this definitely makes up for it. I saw it last night, and it's lovely to see it mirroring the existing site. So glad that everyone can continue sharing together. John

So pleased to see this new forum carrying on the work of BBF.
I hope all goes well with your launch and that you get as much fun out of running it as Elizabeth, John and I have done in the past!

Hope to join you all again this year.
Thanks to Matt & Paul for saving the forum.
All my boxes have been taken down in anticipation for our impending house move...im hopeful I'll get them back up in their new location in time for the forthcoming nesting season...Maybe the new forum will bring me a bit of luck this year.

Dear all - thank you so much. I love this forum, past and now to be present! We have so many birds visiting at the moment (we are in Suffolk)and the long tail tits are especially scoffing suet pellets as well as the usual wild bird seed. After last year's first ever no shows with any of our birdboxes, we are hoping this year to have residents. Love to all - hopefully see you all in the Spring.

Thanks so much to everyone who has helped to get this new forum going, as I really love checking in everyday to read your postings & see all the fantastic photos & videos you put on & link to. My husband, aka LondonLad, doesn't pop in as much, but he does when I rave over something spectacular!
Previously known as Scribbles on the old forum, I'll be popping into it still to download my brother Alan's photos before they disappear. I made a start yesterday & luckily, I have fast unlimited downloads with BT! Diane

Thank you so much, Matt and Paul, for setting up this forum. I was a member of the Bigg Bird forum from 2005, when we first got a birdbox with a camera. I have just been through all my posts and printed them out - what a lot of memories from them, I had forgotten some of the incidents I posted, so glad to have a record of them.
It is very cold here in Sussex, but two great tits were in the box today examining it carefully - I doubt anything will come of it. However, we haven't had great tits nesting since 2005 (our first clutch) so it would be lovely to have them again.
Look forward to using this forum in the spring.

What a great forum this looks to be - well done Matt and Paul. So happy it mirrors BBF, a great way to honour Elizabeth. May need a bit of help with adding a profile picture etc, but great to be back with all you wonderful people. Sue

Good luck with your downloading pictures off the old forum Diane! Hi Paul, I downloaded all 50 of my brother's photos in about twenty minutes - now filed in "Scribe's Bird Forum photos" folder, number 01 - 50! Diane
