Sue It's a beautiful walk but it takes us longer than it used to I hope the Choughs were flying for you. Still bluetits showing interest in box 1 but I think the bulb has gone . I used to have these boxes and the only light comes from the little bulb. The birds won't mind the dark though.

Shocked that still no nest activity in these boxes This would be their first year without a nest in over 22 years wouldn't it?

Yes, looking at the overview Paul. It has been recorded with at least one nest since 2001. Really can’t make out what is going on. Sue

I agree it's so strange. You could always rely on a nest in one of Malcolm and Elizabeth's boxes. My son's box looks like a male trying to get a female interested although he thought he had seen moss being taken in a while back. Maybe the cold spell interrupted nest building. Who knows

OMG - this is amazing, incredible and a great boost to those that don’t have nests yet!! Thank you for noticing Sammi. I have been looking almost daily to no avail but must admit been pre occupied last couple of days. This must be a record build but just shows it CAN be done. Going to watch with real interest now Sue

I once had a late nest and the nest building began on a Friday evening and the first egg appeared on Monday morning It sort of gives me a glimmer of hope for my boxes but really clutching at the last straw now
