Hi Paul yes it is a sad end I'm afraid, but i hope to see the pair of wrens around my garden as usual. thanks to Diane,Sue and Sammi for the messages.
Lets see if next year, my camera box will be used.i will be home more to watch next season

6am im sat having my first cup of tea of the day and watching the birds on the feeder, ive just seen two of Martha fledgings, so happy to see they have survived, hopefully i will see more of them.
we have a new interest, think we have had hedgehogs for a good number of years about the garden, we decided to set the camera where we thought they pass under the fence, we have about 7 clips during the night of it, also a field mouse rushing about. its wonderful just taking time to sit and watch the nature around us,

Just caught up with a few threads Ann. Sounds tragic re the Wrens. Hopefully a better season next year!

yes Benn, it was so near bur far for fledging, but it was just to hot for them, yes hopefully they will come back next season

I've been watching a flirting pr of great tits this morning they have been landing on the front of the log box, sure its to late, but with this weather who knows if it extends the season.

this will keep me relaxed and happy during the closed season, my water feature a lovely sound of running water off the umbrella when solar is working on a sunny day,

a few years ago, there was a decline in sparrows but looking out of the window its not the case any more, this is good to see they are back in big numbers

lovely to have time to sit and watch the young greatest and bluetits come to the feeders hopefully they will be nesting in the spring

Sorry to hear about the wrens Ann itโs so heart wrenching at times. Hopefully they will be back next year, I do like your garden setup and water fountain.

Sue and Kevin its a lovely water feature, you can't see the real effect, it pours water off the umbrella like a shower head its so peaceful watching it and listening to it

Fingers crossed it does Ann! I am going to start doing my boxes next week I think, Cleaning them out getting new ones in place and sorting everything for the roosters. Can't believe we are in August already! Where's this year gone?!

its gone unbelievably fast, and already we are thinking of preparation for new season, i will be semi retired in September so will be home more to watch what happens and not from recordings which will be really good

think i need to move the camera slightly, to see the floor more, i just made sure i could see the hole, i was not going to trouble hubby any more as he was good to re position it for me, at least i know its where i want it
