Lovely to have time to sit and watch the birds first thing in the morning, now its colder more activity to the feeders. Beautiful crisp bright sunny morning.

im not going to get a rooster, not ever had one so no surprise really, i have been checking my outdoor cameras and nothing.i was hoping with the weather being so awful for over a month now, that i might i await the spring now to see if all the activity to the boxes will be a positive one in the new year

My neither Anne, so don't worry - you are not alone! I have no idea why, really - plenty of birds about, and all the boxes have been checked a few times but they obviously have better places to roost nearby. Hopefully they will be back in the spring here too!

Me three! Had a rooster all through summer strangely enough but not now its cold. Plenty of birds around and have had a look at the boxes but no takers they already seem to be pairing up going by their behaviour so looking forward to next season whatever it may bring.

Still time yet Karen, Matt and Ann, I've had blue tits starting roosting as late as mid December! If you are all getting daytime visits it could still happen.

A Merry Christmas to you Ann & everyone else who is still checking in. Let's hope that next year is a better one for everybody, not only for birds nesting in all your boxes, but also for problems some are having at the moment.

Hi Ann, I think you should just leave this post, so that we have a record of years gone by. Just start posting in your new thread for the new season, and this post will slowly drop down the list of posts as new threads are made. I think it would be a shame to delete all old-season posts, just because they are not being updated any more. However, if you really (really) want this thread deleted then let me know and I can do it!
