Amazing Karen!! You was getting such a strong interest in this box for a good few weeks though wasn't you? with visits and nest wriggles etc. Maybe she's looked around and not found a nest box she finds more secure than yours? I'm glad she's surprised you though! Long may it carry on, Hopefully Matt, Ann, Sue get a nice surprise like this over the coming week or so.

Here is the nest right now. But I have just seen something weird, I saw a bird come with material while the female was already in the nest box! Two females?

She has ripped the books up on the shelf and put it in the nest! That made me laugh Karen, didn’t think much to them then . Two females? Hope they know they need a male as well , have to keep us informed on this one. Sue

im sure you won't mind about the trashing of the box, will be interesting to see how the two girls sort this one out, hope it all works ok and you see the completion of a nest and future family.

Thanks springtime 66, after watching for a while I think it is just the one female, but the male is getting involved inside and doing nest wriggles also. He must be a modern male getting hands on. She has just finished for the day and is roosting inside her home

You never know, maybe you'll get two in the nest. It's happened a couple of times before hadn't it?

What a difference a day makes! Really makes me wonder if they chose it all along and were just waiting for the right time to start? Will never know, but I am thrilled to bits, I hope all goes well for them both

Molly I have called her, after a lady I knew who sadly passed last year, she loved birds and enjoyed watching them.

Yes she was up early, but it is much colder today, still bringing in material though, the floor is full to a depth of around an inch, the male who I call Ron is real hands on, doing nest wriggles etc.
