Hi all, My hedgehog house has arrived today, so I have taken the measurements, if anyone is interested in making one. It looks very straightforward apart from the roof, which is recycled plastic. I’m unsure what it is called or where to get it. The slate tile at the entrance is also an eco slate, which is plastic too. I guess these can be replaced with wood. I am hopefully going to make one over the next few days. Base: OBS 53cm x 38.5cm x1cm 17cm x 12cm (by the entrance, under the slate) Roof: Recycled plastic (I would cover the house with a whole piece of wood rather than use an eco slate) I used a thick ply wood, 1.8cm I think. 58cm x 45.5cm x 2.3cm Eco slate tile: 19cm x 12cm Front entrance: 17cm x 17cm x 2cm. use 16.5cm height if using an eco slate / use 17cm if you are not use an eco slate Front right: 36cm x 17cm x 2cm Side Right: 34cm x 15.5cm x 2cm. (15.5cm smaller for ventilation) Back: 52.5cm x 17cm x 2cm Side left: 46cm x 17cm x 2 cm Internal Partition: 46cm x 17cm x 2 cm (Hole cut 12cm x 12cm Front Foot: 52.5cm x 6.7cm x 2cm Back Foot: 52.5cm x 3.5cm x 3.5cm

Looks nice and cosy! My hubby made mine, he enjoys woodwork and is currently off work with a broken toe! So I put him to work, two hog houses and a new wood feeding station done in a two weeks I believe he followed the RSPB design.
