Thought I would share a pic with you all of the table I made for Nina, she comes every day and has done from when we moved here, she is quite tame and will take food from our hands but tentatively, she is feeding young at the moment and is very busy. When I sit at the bedroom window to watch the birds she comes over and sits on the swing seat roof waiting to be fed, so I made this table for her to use.

How many years has she been with you Karen, wondering if she was visiting the previous owners if you haven't been there very long? I love Blackbirds & they love meal worms stuff their beaks as much as they can. I was thinking the other day that wish we could see the Song Thrush in the garden too it's been 25 years + since we had one visit, they used to be so common, took care of all my snails.

She may have been visiting before but the details on her ring said she was born in the season of 2015 so Spring or Summer, we moved in September 2015, she was ringed about a mile away east of us, she may have come with her mum or dad feeding I guess. She is the boss of all the Blackbirds in our garden, she chases any other Blackbird male or female away, apart from her own mate of course. We had a Song Thrush in the garden a few months ago and actually see some or hear some when taking the dog out too. I remember when I was a child seeing smashed snail shells in my nana's garden always in one area, or you would hear them smashing them against a rock.
