Thanks Diane - I am rather chuffed with myself - thought about it in bed two or three nights ago! Pity I didn't think of it last year, although I didn't get many takers last year until my late nest in the cherry tree box as for the normal hatching in the wallbox, my home-made de-luxe, starling proof feeder box was used. This year only the starlings have had a look at that, the tits don't seem to have noticed it!

Karen I like your waxwork feeder box from Lidl and for £3 each it’s a steal. Hopefully it will stop larger birds stealing all the worms.

Wow, I think it'll be better if we can feed bird with worms, But I always feed them with seed & nut because that is convenience
