Afraid not Paul. The occasional visit by the male on Sunday & Monday morning but nothing since. I feel there are less females about than the previous two years. The only two nests on our street are under eaves a few houses down either side from our house. On the other hand I've never seen so many sparrows! Will put up that sparrow box in August when I run more cables out of my kitchen.
We seem to be the ‘Late Nesters’ Ben, hopefully you’ll have eggs soon, once mine brought in the wool and feathers (huge amount) it was only a day or two till the first egg laid. I should have two now, but no sign of of any, beginning to wonder was I imagining first Egg , I need to get Paul to come and check for me . She went through strange motions at exactly same time this morning, but couldn’t see anything this time. All will be revealed soon hopefully.......good luck with your ‘First Egg’ which should be real soon
The House Martins are back! Had a look this morning but nothing, then just back from the pub and there are about 4 on the street, two of which flew straight into both my artificial concrete cups and stayed there. I waited for 15 mins to try to get a photo or video but they seem to want to stay inside. Mind if I had flown 3300 miles I might fancy a nap too!!
They have arrived on the 24th April for the last 5 years now!
So Mrs blue tit this afternoon waits patiently for 5 mins for hubby to bring her a tasty insect of some sort then she fancies a bit. Unfortunately, hubby prefers it al fresco and she has to follow him out for nooky!
