Not that I have seen Paul, Boulder comes to roost still, they come to feed but I have noticed now that they have got their nest site they are not hanging around like they were, I guess they are busy building, well she will be. Once she is settled I am still hoping Boulder will crack on and get another one

Yes, a word in her shelllike would not go amiss I think, but great photo and just shows you what they consider is potential nesting fodder.

I love watching them arrive for bed and wake up. Watching them puff their feathers up and tuck their head in before sleeping.

I dont no Paul, there been no triggers on my laptop this morning. But I have found out where Speck is nesting, I saw Boulder escort her at roosting time, she is over the front of our house and across the road and in an area which has lots of mature trees around it,some 50 yards away I would say. Then he flies straight over to our Rowan tree and makes a noise and goes into the tree box for bed.

Thought I would go for it and take the cap of the light sensor in the tree box where Boulder is roosting, he was later than normal arriving, usually around 7.35pm but not till 8.00pm tonight, was worried he may have come then got spooked and left but glad to say he was fine, didnt bat an eye lid

No your right, he didnt pay any attention to it at all, stupidly I positioned it in a bad place and the camera is picking it up, didnt notice this at time of setting it up,no matter as at the end of the season I will be swapping it to the other box which has loads of roof space.

Morning all. Just been doing a bit of gardening and twice saw Boulder enticing a female into the tree box, also saw him try her in next doors box, she did go into the tree box and did a wriggle but not getting my hopes up! Boulder was making a sound I am more accustomed to the females doing when they do the nest fluttering and making a high pitched repeating shrieking sound. He was pulling all the moves though, such a show off

It's so tantalising isn't it Karen?! I don't know whether to tell you to get excited, or just to enjoy the visits whilst they happen.
